Dryad’s Kiss handmade flute

Oh my goodness. WILL YOU LOOK AT THIS THING??? This is a hand-chased flute. All of the designs on it are done by hand. And the story is beautiful.

If Jehan were ever to dream up the perfect flute, this would probably be it.

I just want to say right now that I did not make this masterpiece, but damn I wish I had. It was done by John Lunn, a silversmith in New Hampshire; the Etsy page for this flute is linked above and you can reach his shop from there too.

MIGHTY NEED

Not to downplay this because the the chasing is amazing but all flutes beyond your flatline beginners are handmade which is why they are so fucking expensive even before you graduate into open-holed models. It just seems redundant idk.

As a flautist - this is fucking gorgeous and I want.

mine was 2000 dollars and i have a bad habit of dropping things so 2000 is pretty much the cheapest open holed model thats decent you can get

I don’t know how to feel about this I feel like this has some really deep meaning. I see it as two people can be close and it can allow for something beautiful, but as soon as they get to know each other too well it becomes ugly. Because if you knew every thought in someones head, the bad might out weigh the good. And you could never undo what you have learned about them. The spots on the butterfly’s wings are human eyes which have seen the truth but have no way of revealing it, or warning you not to get closer and protect the butterfly. The butterfly is their beautifully balanced relationship threatened by the knowing/seeing of too much, or closeness. The people symbolize anyone. OMG ^ crying wow
